September 15th - September 21st: See how Michael Jackson, Green Day, TLC, Blink 182Meghan Trainor, American Idol, and Black Eyed Peas, marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.

X 1991 - Michael Jackson

The King of Pop appears on the iconic animated show 'The Simpsons' as Leon Kompowski, a character that befriends Homer.

X 1999 - TLC

The girl group is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Unpretty".

2003 - American Idol

The music competition is about to get an audition that makes history.  Ladies and gentlemen, William Hung performs Ricky Martin's "She Bangs".

X 2005 - Black Eyed Peas

The pop group appears on an episode of "Las Vegas" where Fergie meets Josh Duhamel.  They wed in 2009.

X 2008 - Blink 182

Blink Drummer, Travis Barker, survives a plane crash in South Carolina, along with his friend DJ AM.  The other passengers do not survive.

X 2012 - Green Day

The punk/pop group appear at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas where lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, goes on a rant that eventually lands the singer in rehab.  Language is not for the meek- NSFW.

X 2014 - Meghan Trainor

The pop singer hits #1 with the confidence building "All About That Bass" and stays there for 8 weeks.
