November 25th - December 1st : See how Britney Spears, Green Day, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Boys II Men, and Destiny's Child marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.

1994 - Boys II Men

Boyz II Men are #1 this week in pop music history in 1994 with "I'll Make Love To You".  The song is on top for 14 weeks, tying Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" for the longest-running #1 in Hot 100 history.

1995 - Whitney Houston

The 90's pop icon, Whitney Houston is #1 on the Hot 100 with "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)", which appears on the soundtrack to the film Waiting To Exhale, which stars Whitney.

1997 - Elton John

The world is in mourning over the death of The People's Princess, Princess Diana, when eccentric 70's pop singer, Elton John is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Candle In the Wind 2007/ Something About the Way You Look Tonight".  The song was reworked for her funeral, which you can see his performance of the song at her funeral below:

2000 - Destiny's Child

Bey and the girls are #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the girl power song 'Independent Woman Part I'.

2004 - Green Day

California punk rockers Green Day release "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" off of their politically charged, career reviving album American Idiot.

2008 - Britney Spears

Britney Spears releases her sixth album, Circus, which includes the song 'Womanizer' and a whole lot of wigs.

2014 - Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift replaces herself at #1 on the Hot 100 when "Blank Space" knocks "Shake It Off" from the top spot, making Swift the first female artist to do so.  And does it looking so Gucci!
