2001 Destiny's Child

The girl group is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Independent Woman Part I'.

2005 Destiny's Child

The all girl group featuring Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams holds two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Soldier", featuring T.I. and Lil Wayne, at #5 and "Lose My Breath" at #10.

2009 - Beyoncé

This is a big week of Beyoncé, who continues to make this week in pop music history with a #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Single Ladies'.

2012 - Katy Perry

Katy Perry hits  #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart with the song 'The One That Got Away'.  This happening makes her album Teenage Dream the first album to hit seven #1 Dance Club Song hits.

2013 - One Direction

The British Boy band, One Direction, win Favorite Album (Up All Night) and Favorite Song ("What Makes You Beautiful") at the People's Choice Awards.

2019 - Lady Gaga

After the miniseries Surviving R. Kelly is aired, Gaga pulls her collaboration with the accused artist "Do What U Want" from streaming services.  Gaga also puts forth a statement supporting those accusing R. Kelly of wrongful & unlawful behavior.
