French duo Daft Punk release their debut album, Homework in the UK. The album only reaches #150 in the USA but is a big hit in Europe.

The boy band releases their debut single "I Want You Back" in the United States and in the UK, making them an official rival of other American boy band Backstreet Boys.

The Spice Girls movie Spice World hits theaters in the U.S.
2010 - Ke$ha
Kesha's debut album, Animal, hits #1, featuring the top song on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, the song "TiK ToK".
2019 - Post Malone
Post Malone is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Sunflower' featuring Swae Lee.
