After six years on the air, the show North Woods Law comes to an end tonight (Thursday.)

We're all sad to see the show come to an end. After seven seasons, the Maine Game Wardens feel as if their goals for the show have been met.

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife took to Facebook to say:

"North Woods Law was a project that began in 2010 with goals in mind of increasing public awareness, public support, and recruitment. In addition, the show encouraged youth and adults to engage in outdoor related activities and pursue future careers in fish and wildlife conservation and law enforcement. These goals were far exceeded. With millions of viewers and a reach that has extended around the world, Maine Game Wardens wish to thank all of you who have and will continue to support who we are and what we do."

The final episode airs at 9 p.m. on Animal Planet.
