The fire suppression system is malfunctioning, and it will be until at least next week before the Observatory can open, as planned.

The Penboscot Narrows Observatory is the tallest bridge observatory open to the public. Visitors ride Maine's fastest elevator up 420 feet for breathtaking 360 degree views of the Penobscot Bay area.

Fort Knox is open, effective May 1st, and is not effected by the Observatory delay.
