Let's take a look at the fall foliage report for this week, September 18th -  24th, for the state of Maine.

There is no low color change throughout southern parts of the state.  Little change is expected in northern, mountainous parts of the state that includes the towns of Jackman, Greenville, Millinocket, and Houlton.

The peak week for the Bangor area to check out the best and brightest foliage viewing is predicted to be somewhere near October 15th - 20th.

Nationwide Fall Foliage

Smokeymountains.com has put up an interactive map so you can check out what's going on with the fall foliage nationwide.  This week, there is minimal to partial change in the Rocky Mountain areas, northern midwestern regions, and mid-Atlantic and northern Eastern states from Pennsylvania to Maine.

There is some change in the leaves expected this week nationwide for higher elevated areas throughout the country as well as some northern states.
