The Z Morning Show got a nice surprise!

With the new state guidelines set to take effect on May 1st, Governor Mills will require that Maine residents wear cloth face coverings in public settings where physical distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as a local grocery, or big box store.

After attempting to make my own mask out of a cotton T-shirt, I was all set to roll, but we got an unexpected gift this morning from a Z listener, named Lainie Johns Hill, who not only is on the front lines everyday at St. Joesph's Hospital in Bangor, she also has her own business, Dragonfly Stitches, which is based out of Carmel.

After a brief conversation, Lainie mentioned that she was in the Brewer area and would like to drop off some face masks that she made especially for us. And when I went down to the front door of the building, there they were waiting for us in a plastic bag!

We got six masks total, which included the New England Patriots logo, basketballs, birds, and tiger stripes!

Thank you for taking the time to do this for us Lanie, it was such a thoughtful gesture. Thank you for all you do each day at St.Joe's.
