Kid Central Festival will back in Downtown Bangor to have fun and free activities for just the kids.

This is the ninth year the festival has taken place and is fun for kids 12 and under to explore Downtown Bangor while creating and learning.

The Kid Central Festival will take place Saturday, May 4th and start at 10 AM in businesses, organizations and museums throughout Downtown Bangor.

Last year, the festival featured a super hero costume contest, creative art making projects, crafting, planting seeds for home gardens, story time and more.  All of these activities are available throughout the organizations and businesses of Downtown Bangor and are all free.

One event you can look forward to will be taking place at 10:30 at the Briar Patch on Central Street where Maine author and illustrator Chris Van Dusen will be reading his new book A Piglet Named Mercy.
