In a Facebook post over the weekend, Downtown Bangor businesses announced a change to their traditional shop local campaign.

Usually, the day after Black Friday is 'Small Business Saturday', a campaign for all holiday shoppers to consider shopping local on one particular day during the holiday season.

This year, the campaign has been expanded to every Saturday in the month of November and throughout the month of December, starting Saturday, November 7th.  Each Saturday until December 25th is a great opportunity to shop locally this holiday season.

The Facebook post published Saturday, November 7th from 'Downtown Bangor' acknowledges that 2020 has brought but what local businesses can still offer despite all of the change.

The post states:

Just like everything else in 2020, Small Business Saturday has to change.
Rather than than thinking of shopping with your friends and neighbors one Saturday during the holiday season, join Downtown Businesses throughout the holiday season to shop local and experience superior service and selection.
Event dates have been set up on Facebook that include all of the Saturdays in November and December from 8 AM to 8 PM:

The event details say you can shop locally with these businesses in person, online or by phone.

The page is organized by the Downtown Bangor Partnership which serves as a collective voice for Downtown Bangor businesses that includes marketing the Downtown businesses and activities.
