Beginning March 18, the Airline School will be providing FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH for all children age 18 and under - no application is needed. Blue Hill Consolidated School will offer two to three days worth of lunches to be picked up Tuesday and Friday mornings at BHCS between 8 AM and 10 AM outside where our buses park during pick up and drop off (think of it as curbside pick up!). These meals would continue to be free or reduced for qualifying families, and would continue to cost $2.65 per meal for all others. Delivery is also being offered

Veazie schools will continue to provide breakfast and lunch for students qualifying for free & reduced lunch. The bus will leave VCS at 8am with a Veazie police officer on board and make a trip using normal bus routes. It will be expected that students or parents meet the bus at the road or normal bus stop.  Brown-bag meals will be distributed for multiple days at a time in an effort to minimize social interaction. We will send home 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Tuesday, March 17, and 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Thursday, March 19. Next week, we will send home two breakfasts and 2 lunches on Monday, March 23 and 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches on Wednesday, March 25. We will continue with this Monday/Wednesday schedule should the school closure go beyond two weeks.

Breakfast and lunch for each school age child, free of charge for duration of school closure.  Deliveries begin daily at 10 AM by school bus or district van.  Parents who would like to participate should contact the RSU 25 Food Service by calling 207-307-8008 between 9 AM and 2 PM.  Please provide address the food should be delivered to, number of children at address, ages and names of children, contact phone number.  Parents are asked to call daily for delivery on the following day. The program will run Monday through Friday for the duration of our school closure with the exception of any recognized holidays.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to each student.  Food will be available at normal bus routes at about 11 AM and will stop at each of its regular locations.  If your child does not usually ride the bus and you would like food, please make sure that you are out by the roadside in front of your house or at the end of your road after 11 AM.  This delivery will include the day's lunch and breakfast for the following day.  Friday deliveries will provide additional food to cover the weekend's breakfast and lunch.

For those that do not want to utilize bus drop off methods, food will also be available for pick up at your local K-8 school.  Food will be available between 8 AM and 8:30 AM and/or noon to 12:30 PM.  Sumner Memorial High School students who do not opt into bus delivery can also pick up food at their town's local k-8 school (Cave Hill School, Ella Lewis School, Mountain View School and Peninsula School.

The food service department will be providing breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday during the school closure the program will be modeled after the summer meals program; these meals are available to anyone 18 years or younger and unlike the summer meals program may be taken offsite. The meals can be picked up at the following eight sites between 9 AM and 10 AM:

  • George J. Mitchell School
  • Waterville Junior High School-curbside
  • Armory Rd.
  • Housing
  • Home Place Housing
  • Chaplin Street playground
  • North Street playground
  • Western Avenue play area
  • South End Teen Center- curbside

All children ages 18 and under are free.  Meals will be delivered to homes daily (Monday through Friday), starting March 23rd.  Meals will be delivered by bus drivers who will be driving our district vans. Please expect a drop off at your home between 8:00-10:00 am
If you have not been contacted and would like meals delivered to your home – Please call 876-4625, 876-4301, or 876-3444. Please tell us your physical address and how many children in your household 18 and under.

Free breakfast and lunch meals during school closing beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. At Leroy Smith School in Winterport.  Available Monday through Friday 8 AM - 11 AM.  Breakfast and lunch to go.  Meals for teens and children.  No requirements or paperwork needed.  Drive up to Smith school entryway, staff will come to your car to provide the meals, both breakfast and lunch will be given at the same time.  Contact Kathy Kittridge FMI kkittridge@rsu22.us
