Bangor Area Establishments Offering Free Lunch for Kids During School Closures
During this unprecedented event, we here in the Bangor area are witnessing a lot of firsts during this COVD-19, formerly coronavirus, pandemic. In her address to the State of Maine last night, Governor Mills stated that a waiver from the USDA will allow schools to provide meals offsite to students. But there are a couple of places in the Bangor Area that are offering free lunches for kids during school closures due to the COVD-19 pandemic.
On a Facebook post on Saturday, Jersey's Subs & Sweets, on Hammond Street in Downtown Bangor, in conjunction with W.A. Bean & Son, located on Bomarc Road in Bangor, are offering free bag lunches to students and children.
C&K Variety out of Hermon announced on Facebook on March 14 that they will be offering bagged breakfast or lunch options.
