Bangor Records Warmest October In City’s History
Bangor was one of many Maine communities to see the warmest October ever recorded, according to the National Weather Service.
The average temperature of 55.6 degrees Fahrenheit topped the previous record of 54.2 degrees set in 1968. The normal average for October in Bangor is 47.2 degrees.
October was a record-breaking month for all of Maine, with Houlton, Caribou and Millinocket among the Maine communities also setting records.
The record comes on the heels of a near-record warm September.
Milder weather prompted the city to relax its winter parking regulations.
