Please support the family of fallen Deputy Luke Gross.

On Sunday, October 10 at noon, the Luke Gross Memorial Cornhole Tournament will be held at Big Cat's Catering, Bartending & event Center, which is located at 163 Bar Harbor Rd, in Trenton. This fundraiser event is to support the family of Deputy Luke Gross, who tragically lost his life while in the line of duty, on September 23rd.

This will be a "scoreholio" event, starting with a 4-round, round-robin leading into a double-elimination tournament. The cost is $50 per team, and you can bring your own partner, and bring your own bags. Registration starts at 10:30, then the bags fly at 12:00 pm sharp. There is a $500 1st prize, $300 2nd prize, and $200 3rd prize. There will be 50/50 and raffles. You can enjoy a cash bar, and plenty of food, with 100 percent of all sales added to the donation for the Gross family. All other donations are gratefully accepted.

Enjoy an afternoon of cornhole, food, and drinks, and help out Luke's family during this very difficult time.

A man from Bucksport, named Chris Sargent posted a video to Facebook this week, of a tune called "Luke's Song", which is a tribute to Deputy Luke Gross, who was fatally struck by a pickup truck while responding to a call in Trenton on Route 3 last Thursday. Gross was out of his patrol car, after being called to a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road when he was hit and killed by a passing motorist.
