Spend Tuesday and Wednesday nights outdoors this summer, listening to live music!

There is nothing quite like sitting outdoors on a nice summer evening and enjoying some entertainment, especially when you can enjoy it with the whole family.

Both the Bangor & Orono Public Libraries, are hosting a summer concert series for the next several weeks. Best of all, both will feature a wide variety of sounds and genres of music.

The Bangor Public Library Summer Music Series, will host artists performing on the patio, every Wednesday night at 6pm. All shows are free and open to the public.

Here is the lineup summer of shows:

July 13th-Auld Favorites
July 20th-Skyliners
July 27th-Swingmatisim
August 3rd-The Silver Duo
August 10th-Treto Rockerz

The Orono Public Library will host Summer Concerts on the Village Green, every Tuesday night, at 6pm, on the Orono Village Green.

You can bring your own lawn chair or blanket, picnic dinner and enjoy the music.

July 12th-Ivey Menzietti, performing bluesy folk rock
July 19th-Peach Belly, a funk band with some reggae and jazz influences
July 26th-Larry and Leslie Latour, folk/rock/blues/country singer/songwriters
August 2nd Midnight Breakfast, an indie-soul band, drawing from American musical traditions
August 9th-Tough End String Band, an eclectic mix of acoustic old-time, bluegrass, and jazz music
