So, Stephen King quit Facebook.

Fittingly, he made the announcement on Twitter.

King says that he doesn't like that Facebook allows false information through political ads. He's also not very comfortable with Facebook protecting user's privacy.

As of Saturday, he was no longer there.

He's not the only one leaving Facebook behind. According to Inc., a lot of us don't trust Facebook and have been leaving in droves over the past few years. The Cambridge Analytica scandal back in 2018 really got us thinking that Facebook was not your friend.

Research showed that 44% of us took a break from Facebook, and 40% of younger users actually deleted the app from their phone!

There are a lot of choices for social media, and Facebook isn't the only game in town. Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest will keep you just as connected and so far, no huge scandals...yet.

If you want to still follow the man himself, Stephen King, just follow on Twitter.
