National Weather Service Forecasting More Rain Than Snow Friday
A rapidly developing storm is expected to bring soaking rain and some snow to Maine by week's end.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a wet Friday. The Bangor and Downeast areas will likely see over an inch of rain, and an inch or two of snow. Northern areas will see slightly higher snow accumulations before precipitation changes over to rain.
The morning commute Friday will likely feature a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain for the Bangor and Downeast areas. Drivers are advised to take it slow and leave plenty of space between them and the vehicle in front of them.
