The Penobscot Theatre has done it again!

The Penobscot Theatre, located in the heart of Downtown Bangor, at 131 Main Street, continues to bring all of us quality productions, and their latest is good for a few laughs, on a subject that many of us can relate to.

“Hockey Mom” written by Travis Baker, is set in the fictional township of Clara, Maine. The residents who live there love three things, blue tarps, hair salons, and Hockey. If it’s winter, you’ll find kids out on the ice and their moms on the sidelines cheering them on. Cindy is the ultimate Hockey Mom. Cindy loves her son Cole and they both love hockey. Cindy will do anything to help him become a pro-hockey player whether he wants her help or not. Pretty funny premise for a show right?

If that scenario sounds familiar, you will have a good laugh at this show. Crazy sports parents have long deserved a show that pokes a little fun at just how obsessive they are, and this one delivers the goods.

“Hockey Mom” has a run time of 2 hours, with a brief intermission, so why not go check it out?
