Have You Been to These 17 Maine Restaurants Visited by Vacationing Celebrities?
Let's face it, Mainers have it pretty good. We have everything we need, from great beaches to amazing mountains, pristine lakes, an immaculate coastline, and some of the best food you can find in America.
All of these things are a perfect recipe for tourists to reign supreme in the Pine Tree State, including many celebrities. These famous travelers also love the fact that Maine is very short on one thing: people.
Celebrities can literally sneak in and out of Maine without much fanfare. Besides a social media post or two, stars are barely bothered by the Maine community. There's no paparazzi. News cameras are barely ever hunting them down. Besides the middle of Montana, Maine is pretty much an ideal spot for the rich and famous to enjoy, well, being kind of normal.
So, it's no surprise that the state has its fair share of celebrity sightings, especially at many of Maine's food establishments. Some of those restaurants have a long history of celebrity sightings like The Clam Shack in Kennebunk or the iconic Red's Eats in Wiscasset. It's not surprising to see the coastal seafood shacks as a big hit with celebs. I mean, what else do you do as a tourist in Maine?
Portland's food scene also has its fair share of Hollywood and beyond. Many establishments have received plenty of love and publicity for their famous diners.
Wondering where many of these places are? We did, too. That's why we compiled some content.
Below is a list of many of those celebs and where they decided to dine in our great state. It's a wonderful and diverse list of spots that perhaps you frequent.
How many have you visited? Maybe a celeb was there and you never knew it.
