America’s Hottest Chicken Chain Missing in Maine—Is One Coming?
This Hot Chicken Chain Is Everywhere… Except Maine 😭🍗
One of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the United States is still nowhere to be found in the 207..
Raising Cane’s is a popular American fast-food chain that has developed a loyal, almost cult-like following, especially among younger customers—for its simple menu, crispy chicken fingers, and upbeat, fun atmosphere.
Thanks to strong word of mouth and social media buzz, it has quickly become one of the most talked-about fast-food chains in the country.

Founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey, the chain has expanded to more than 600 locations across the United States, the Middle East, and Asia, with dozens of new openings each year—including around 90 in 2024 alone.
Despite that rapid growth, Maine currently has zero locations. None. Zip. Nada. For fans in the state, the closest option is a trip to Massachusetts, where a handful of restaurants are within driving distance.
So what’s behind all the hype?
1. Fresh, never frozen chicken fingers, hand-breaded and cooked to order.
2. The signature Cane’s Sauce—tangy, slightly sweet, and fan-favorite status for a reason.
3. Thick, crinkle-cut fries that are crisp on the outside and soft inside.
4. Freshly brewed sweet tea, served hot or iced.
The menu is pretty straight forward, focusing mainly on chicken finger meals to maintain consistency and quality across every location.
Beyond the food, Raising Cane’s is also known for its strong community involvement, regularly supporting local schools, charities, and fundraising efforts.
Inside the restaurants, the experience is part of the appeal—lively music, bold colors, and an energetic, welcoming staff that keeps things moving with a fun atmosphere.
Although the company has plans to eventually expand into all 50 states, Maine is still among those without a Raising Cane’s location, along with places like Vermont and Montana.
