If you're like me, you likely have a pile of old broken or obsolete electronics in the back of a closet somewhere. Whether it be an old computer, or broken television, or maybe even a fax machine (remember those?) it can be hard to know just how to get rid of stuff like that, because you can't just toss it out with the trash.

Well, you're in luck! The Challenger Learning Center on Venture Way in Bangor (near the airport) is hosting an E-Waste disposal fundraiser event on Saturday September 14th from 8AM till noon! It's open to residents of any community, and according to organizers, they will be accepting lots of things, including "CRT Monitor, Televisions, Printers, Fax Machines, Scanners, CPUs, Laptops, Cell Phones and other miscellaneous electronics."

There is a suggested donation of $10 for the first thing you want to get rid of and $5 for every other thing. The funds collected will be used to help get Maine kids involved with science and math learning projects. They'll be accepting cash and checks at the event. So, make some space in your closet and help out a good cause in the process!
