Bangor's late-night talk show host chatted with the "King of All Media."

Our friend Danny Cashman has been getting quite a bit of national attention over the last week, after his amazing interview with David Letterman, on "The Nite Show."

On his Monday morning Sirius XM show, The King of All Media himself, Howard Stern, got wind of Dave's visit to Maine, watched the YouTube clips from the show, and was intrigued enough to reach out to Cashman and chat with him.

In case you missed it, the legendary David Letterman paid a visit to the penultimate episode of "The Nite Show with Danny Cashman" fulfilling a lifelong dream for Dan.

As you would expect, Dave was funny and charming as hell, and he seemed to really enjoy his visit to Bangor.

He chatted about taking a selfie with the Paul Bunyan statue and shouted out Dysart's in Hermon, where he was hoping to grab a meal, after his appearance on the show.

The whole hour-long show was simply incredible to watch!

Sadly, this unique local television experience is ending this Saturday night.

After he was press secretary for Gov. John Baldacci, our friend, Dan Cashman, then began a reboot of his local talk show, which is currently celebrating its 15th and final season on WABI TV-5.

On May 17, "The Nite Show" will say farewell as it sails off into the TV sunset, with a collection of highlights and clips, meaning that Letterman was Dan's last official guest. Not a bad way to go out!

Catch the last episode of The Nite Show with Danny Cashman, Saturday night at 11:30 on WABI TV5/Bangor, Saturday nights after the FOX23 News at Ten on FOX23/Portland, Saturday nights at 11 on WWPI NBC16/Presque Isle, and late night Saturdays at 1 a.m. on WGME CBS13/Portland.
