Come Help Kid Collect ‘A Ton Of Pasta’ Next Weekend
Helping friends and neighbors is a great way to make a positive impact on this world. And there's a great opportunity to do just that, in such a simple way, coming up next weekend.
On Saturday, May 18th, Townsquare Media will celebrate 22 years of teaming up with local food pantries to restock community food cupboards.
After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has passed and spring starts to set in, shelves tend to go bare, quickly. We want to make sure there is food available to everyone in our community who needs access to it.
That's where you come in.
As we have done for the past 22 years, we'll be sending our DJs out to set up in front of local Hannaford stores to collect donations of pasta, on the morning of the 18th. Our goal each year is to collect "A Ton of Pasta. The pasta will be distributed to local food cupboards throughout the area to help put food on the tables for individuals and families living with food insecurity.
We know that just one box of pasta can usually feed an entire family, so just imagine how many families in Maine we could help, if everyone gives just a little.
We'll have teams set up at Hannaford stores on Broadway and Hogan Rd. in Bangor and at the Hannaford in Ellsworth. Come say hi to Kid! He'll be at the Brewer Hannaford location from 10 AM until 1 PM with the folks from Penquis Cap.
Stop by, bring the kids, bring your friends, and say hello! Take a selfie with the DJs. They'll be set up in some parking spaces in front of each store.
But most importantly, if you can, either on your way in or on your way out of the store, consider making a donation of a box or two of pasta.
Help us help others, and help yourself feel good too, in the process.
