A Heat Wave Could Be Headed To Maine Next Week
OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. But ... we have pretty much been living in a deep freeze for days, it seems. But when I was scrolling through my weather app on my phone, I saw some rather tantalizing temps in the very near future.
It would seem, that we are looking at temps that are going to be well into the 30s and 40s, but there is quite a bit of scuttlebutt that we might see 50 degrees on Tuesday! 50!!! Now, I'm not totally holding my breath on that one. Mother Nature has duped us before on several occasions.
The National Weather Service, at this time, is being a bit more conservative, predicting a high of 46 degrees in Bangor on Tuesday. But Apocalypse-ologist Keith Carson from WCSH-TV6 in Portland is feeling like things could trend upward a bit more. And with our luck, of course, it will hit 70 in Portland, but it'll still be 34 here. But hey, at this point I'd just as happily take a nice string of 34 degree days.
As always where the weather is concerned, take it all with a grain of salt. Nature has a funny way of promising one thing, and delivering another, so I'll believe it when I see it. But ... It's nice to spend the next few days of frigid weather, fantasizing about warmer temps. But it'll be "sun's out, guns out" weather soon enough.
Well, maybe not soon enough. But, eventually.
