Hey Bangor, are you ready to get vaccinated?

The Bangor area is about to get pretty busy, with big crowds expected with the return of concerts on the Bangor Waterfront, starting Thursday night with the Luke Bryan show, but that’s not all. The Bangor State Fair also comes to town on Thursday with a condensed 5-day version of the yearly event. And with the influx of people who will be in the area in the coming days, now might be a good time to get your Covid-19 shot, especially with the Delta variant wreaking havoc all across the United States.

There will be two upcoming opportunities for you to do so in the Bangor area. On Thursday and Friday, the University of New England’s pharmacists, along with student volunteers are working with Northern Light Health to get you vaxxed up. They will administer Pfizer and J&J shots, from 1 pm-3 pm, they will also be available for any questions you may have. I assure you that it is quick and painless! best of all, you can do your part to keep everyone in our community safe.

In addition, there will be a separate event coming up on Thursday, August 12th from 10 am-12 noon. Bangor Public Health Nurses will hold a clinic at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, located at 489 State St, Bangor. Those aged 18 and older, can choose between the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine and the Moderna vaccine. Walk-ins will be welcomed while supplies last.
