A round of spring snow is expected for much of Maine Monday night.

The National Weather Service is calling for spring snow overnight Monday. In the Bangor and Downeast areas, forecasters are expecting 3-4 inches of wet, heavy, snow. Coastal areas will likely see snow mixing with rain, reducing accumulations. Northern areas are expected to see 1-2 inches of snow.

The fresh snowfall isn't expected to stick around, as Tuesday's temperatures will rise into the 40's.
