Does it seem like fall is just flying by!?! We already had Halloween and just finished up the midterm election cycle which means Veterans Day is the next big thing in November!

Folks across the nation will be pausing this weekend, in their own way, to thank those who have served this country and protected our Nation's precious freedoms, like the right to vote, which many of us just exercised! Schools and some businesses will mark the occasion with a day off Monday, and big sales. If you'd like to join in the celebration, there are a couple of events you may want to take note of, going on both Sunday and Monday!

Veterans Day is officially this Sunday, November 11th. The Bangor Band and the Cole Land Transportation Museum will be hosting their Annual Veterans Day concert at the museum Sunday afternoon at 2PM. The Bangor Band will be playing a mix of patriotic  and war-time melodies to honor all Veterans that day.

Then on Monday, the Greater Bangor Area Veterans Day parade will take place. The parade starts at 10:15, with parade entries lining up in Brewer between 9 and 9:45. The parade will make its way down Wilson St. in Brewer, cross the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge, head up to Main St. in Bangor, then State St. and end on Exchange.

Hope to see you out and about this weekend. And a special thanks to all our Veterans, both this weekend and every day, for all they have done!
