High school grads, some very familiar faces are here to salute you!

If you are a graduating member of the Class of 2020, this hasn't exactly been a dream year to celebrate. The lock-down because of COVID-19 that we have all been involved in for the last two months has abruptly put a halt to all the special memories that take place at the end of the school year.

Maine Delivers Outstanding Education Program posted a very cool video on their YouTube page that features many famous faces from our state, giving shout outs and some words of encouragement to a class that will most definitely be remembered as special. They may not have a traditional prom, or graduation ceremony, but if they can make it through this pandemic, they are pretty much ready for anything, and their future looks very bright.

The video starts out with newly crowned rock star, Dr. Nirav Shah, from the Maine CDC, who has been a leading voice in the state as we muddle through these trying days. Little kids from the future class of 2032 join in the fun, then all sorts of recognizable names pop up, including some very famous ones.

Governor Janet Mills, Senator Susan Collins, U.S. Representative Jared Golden, Maine Senator Angus King, Miss Maine 2019 Carolyn Brady, "McDreamy" himself, Patrick Dempsey, "The Breakfast Club" 80's icon, Judd Nelson, Olympic athlete, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Andrew Taggart, of The Chainsmokers, and even the Portland Sea Dogs mascot get in on the well wishes.

You can also send your favorite 2020 graduate a senior shout out right here, and we'll play (or read) some on the air.

Congrats to the Class of 2020 from all of us here in The Pine Tree State!
