The ‘Kick Cancer in the Cornhole’ Tournament

Don’t miss an exciting day of cornhole action for a very worthy cause.

The Kick Cancer In The Cornhole Tournament will take place on Sunday afternoon, September 26th, from 1 pm-5 pm, at Mossy Lodge Spirits, located at 1097 Lakins Rd, Etna. This event will benefit the Ronco Family,

Area resident, Tanya Ronco, was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and has begun her treatment. To help offset the cost of treatment, lost work hours, etc. this tournament is being held to raise funds for her and her family. And passing a Sunday afternoon throwing some bags isn’t a bad way to spend the day.

The cost to enter is $25 per person. Teams will be randomly generated. Winnings will be awarded to the top 2 teams and will be split 70/20/10. 70% goes to The Ronco Family, 20% for 1st Place and 10% for 2nd Place.

Play will be set up as a playoffs tournament, meaning they will play a round-robin to determine seeding then single elimination after that. Check-in is at noon, which is also when your payment will be due.

There will be food and drinks available for purchase at Mossy Lodge Spirits, plus some specials for all players to enjoy, Bringing in your own alcohol is strictly prohibited, so no B.Y.O.B., unless it means “Bring Your Own Bags” which you are allowed to do, when you play in the tournament.

A brand new sweet cornhole board & set will be raffled off. You can buy those tickets at the event, and the winner will be drawn at the end of the day.

Also, throughout the month of September, Mossy Ledge will be collecting bottles and cans. Feel free to drop your empties, as all those proceeds go to the Ronco family as well.
