The Downtown Bangor ‘Kickoff To Summer’ Party Is Friday

Play some cornhole, have a cold one, and celebrate summer!

Each First Friday in 2023, Dowtown Bangor features a different theme with a featured activity and other specials, events, activities and fun. First Fridays will take place between 4pm-8pm, on the first Friday of each month.

Now you may take this news with a hearty roll of the eyes, since the weather has been less than ideal the last several weeks, but cheer up, because the forecast is calling for a mix of sun & clouds, with a high of 84 degress. It lLooks like it will a perfect afternoon to get outside and play a little cornhole!

This Friday, July 7th, don't miss the "Kickoff To Summer Cornhole Tournament", starting at 5pm, in the Abbot Square Park, on Harlow Street, across from the Bangor Public Library. The bags start flying around at 6pm. "Wicked Cornhole" will be there running the event

If you want to play cornhole, there are two brackets to choose from:

COMPETITION BRACKET: Cash prizes based on participation
$50/team (pre-registration) OR $60/team (day of event)

SOCIAL BRACKET: Trophies and other prizes
$30/team (pre-registration) OR $40/team (day of event)

A portion of the proceeds from the "Kickoff To Summer Cornhole Tournament" will be donated to Penquis and Bangor area schools to support back-to-school supplies.
