How does a spine-chilling, classic movie under the stars sound?

Wednesday, August 21 at 8 pm, The Bangor Historical Society presents a movie night after dark, at the historic Mount Hope Cemetery, in Bangor.

This year's feature film is Stephen King's classic horror, Carrie. Get into the eerie atmosphere of one of Bangor's most iconic locations, where Stephen King himself found inspiration for his chilling stories.

Catch Stephen King's iconic 1976 masterpiece, "Carrie", on Wednesday, August 21st at 8 pm.

A shy teenager Carrie White, faces bullying from classmates at school and abuse from her mother at home. When strange occurrences start happening around Carrie, she begins to suspect that she has supernatural powers. Invited to the prom by Tommy Ross, Carrie tries to let her guard down, but things eventually take a dark and violent turn.

Keep your eyes peeled for a very young John Travolta, who plays Billy Nolan.

The horror flick was remade in 2013.

You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, seating is not provided.

Concession Sales:

There will be a variety of delicious refreshments and snacks available for purchase throughout the evening. Treat yourself to popcorn, candy, and beverages!

Transportation:

Parking for the event is located at United Technologies Center, 200 Hogan Road in Bangor. Buses will be available to transport you to your car.

Bangor Historical Society asks that you keep pets at home and that no outside beverages or food are allowed at the event.
