Road Trip Idea!
The State of Maine is famous for its delectable oysters, with over 150 oyster farms along our 3,500-mile coastline, producing more than 11 million oysters annually. Maine's cold, salty ocean water creates a unique flavor profile that's crisp, briny, buttery, and sweet, making Maine oysters highly sought after, so why not have a day to celebrate that?
Everyone is familiar with The Maine Oyster Festival, in Freeport, the Maine Oysterfest at Harvest on the Harbor in Portland, and the Pemaquid Oyster Festival, in Boothbay Harbor, now the beautiful town of Camden is getting in on the fun, following up a successful event from last year.
This Sunday, October 13th, from 12pm-3pm, check out the 2nd Annual Camden Oyster Festival, on the wharf at Lyman Morse, located at 1 Wayfarer Drive in Camden.
Enjoy locally sourced oysters from several purveyors and enjoy food and spirits from wharf side restaurants, while takin in the gorgeous scenery of Camden Harbor, on a crisp fall afternoon.
In addition to oysters from multiple Maine oyster farmers, Salt Wharf, Barren's and Paper Plane, will all be serving food and drinks. Grab a drink and enjoy it wharfside with some delicious oysters.
Plus, you can enjoy live music throughout the day, Entrance is free. Oysters, food and beverage are available for purchase.
These festivals showcase the unique flavors and qualities of Maine oysters, so hop in the car, and take a road trip to the 2nd Annual Camden Oyster Festival, this Sunday afternoon!
