Just one week later, in Piscataquis County, they will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of another fun opportunity for folks to hit the water and paddle hard.

It usually features a chance to get deep discounts on these locally-made canoes and kayaks.

The iconic tradition continues!

A date has been set for the annual Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race.

One definitive rite of passage here in the Bangor area, and a sure sign that springtime is truly here, happened for the 55th time last weekend, and as always, a good time was had by all, who either participated or ventured out to have a look at all the fun.

At the end of this day of fun, awards will be presented between 2:30 pm - 3 pm. And, shuttle buses are available at the finish line to bring you back to Kenduskeag.
