Another great new Maine food festival is coming!

One of the great things about summertime in Maine, is the incredible amount of festivals we have each year. From Moxie, to lobster, to whoopie pies, to clams, to red snapper hot dogs, there is pretty much something for everyone.

There is a new event this year, that gives you a perfect opportunity to hop in the car and take a road trip.

The first ever Maine PoutineFest, is a celebration of the French-Canadian classic, poutine, which is a dish of french fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy. But at an event like this, you will be able to find poutine in a variety of styles, like BBQ pulled pork, buffalo chicken, pizza & more.

All the fun goes down on Saturday, September 14th, from 11:30am-4:30pm, at Thompson's Point in Portland.

Vendors from all over Maine, will entice you with their spin on this delicious treat. All attendees can sample poutine from participating restaurants.

Restaurants will also compete for the “Best Poutine Of The Fest,” and only one will get to raise the Championship Belt.

The tasty poutine is the just the tip of the iceberg!

There will also be music, great beer, games, children’s activities. Food trucks will also be present to enjoy other treats.
