A high school student was struck by a car Wednesday morning while waiting for the school bus.

Tennyson Lincoln, 14, of Wiscasset Middle School was struck on Route 17 in Windsor just after 7 a.m. Police say it was snowing at the time. Lincoln was crossing the street to board a waiting school bus. The bus had stopped in the opposite lane with its lights flashing, at the intersection with Griffin and Vigue Roads, according to police.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for bumps and bruises, and released.

Eileen Bayer, 51, of Union was charged with failing to stop for a school bus.
