The big storm today will probably lead to great snowmobile conditions this weekend!

This Saturday, honor a local fire fighter while having fun and eating well at the the 2nd Annual Peter Larlee Scholarship Benefit Snowmobile Ride and Spaghetti Supper.

Snowmobile riders will meet at East Branch Sno-Rovers Club at 10 AM to register and then set to ride at 10:30 AM.  Cost per sled is $10, with a max of $30.

Following the ride will be a public supper with doors opening at 3 PM and by donation.

This event is in honor of local firefighter, Captain Peter A. Larlee of the East Millinocket Fire Department, who passed away in 2016.  According to firehero.org:

Pete’s true love was snowmobiling in the Great Maine Woods. You could find him out on the trails looking for the lost sledder or doing a cold weather rescue. Pete had a passion for children. He loved to teach, from fire safety at the local schools to Monday night fire training.
