The woman facing charges after her baby ingested methamphetamine is now back in jail for allegedly operating a meth lab.

Alyssa Murch, 20, originally was charged with aggravated unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs, which is a felony, and felony domestic violence assault, after her 7-month-old child ingested meth through tainted breast milk. She's also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, which is a misdemeanor.

Murch was arrested after Bangor police were called to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center on Dec. 16, 2018 to a report of an infant suffering from a meth overdose. The child recovered and was placed in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Murch was released on bail after a court appearance in February, with the condition that she stay away from drugs and have only supervised contact with the child.

The Penobscot County District Attorney's Office said on Wednesday that Murch has been arrested again, this time on charges of operating a meth lab and violating conditions of release.
