On the go and need a hot cup of joe? A new option is headed our way!

It's always exciting when a new coffee shop comes to town, and even better when that company is headquartered right here in Maine.

A brand-new Aroma Joe's is set to open in Brewer this October.

The new shop will be located at 972 Wilson St. in Brewer, in the former fireworks store. An exact opening date has not yet been announced, as the building is currently being transformed into a coffee shop.

The Wilson Street location sits along a busy commercial corridor, making it a convenient stop for drive-thru customers and commuters traveling between Brewer and Bangor.

The store is expected to be open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving up the Aroma Joe's menu, including coffee, espresso drinks, Rush energy drinks, and breakfast favorites.

The Aroma Joe's menu features several fun categories, including Expressin', Brewin', Energizin', Chillin', Freezin', Kiddin', Breakfastin', and Munchin'. Customers can choose from a variety of coffees, energy drinks, donuts, sandwiches, and breakfast items — including a spicy chorizo gouda flatbread with egg that sounds like a must-try.

Aroma Joe's also uses Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee beans, supporting sustainable farming practices.

The Brewer location will join two existing Aroma Joe's shops in Bangor, which opened in 2025 at 444 Main Street in the former Tim Hortons building and 28 Haskell Road near the Hogan Road commercial area. The Haskell Road location was the first Aroma Joe's built using the company's new prototype design.

Aroma Joe's currently has 30 locations operating across Maine, with more expansion planned.

Franchise co-owner Bob Brennan, who operates the Bangor locations along with several other Aroma Joe's stores in Maine, is behind the Brewer expansion.

For coffee lovers in Brewer, the wait is almost over, a new morning stop is brewing on Wilson Street.
