The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Northern Light Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth for a medical and psychological evaluation after the chase, during which he allegedly sped through multiple red lights and drove into oncoming traffic on High Street. The chase reached speeds of 75 miles per hour, according to a news release from the Hancock County Sherriff's Office.
