Where Should Bangor Put Its Skate Park?

Bangor is looking to build a new skate park in the city. A meeting to discuss possible locations for the park is coming up this month.

The second meeting to discuss where a new skate park should be built is set for Tuesday, January 16. It was originally scheduled for January 4, but due to the snow storm had to be postponed. It will be held at the Mary Snow School Gymnasium at 6 p.m.

The staff of the Bangor Parks and Recreation Department will make a brief presentation on each of the proposed locations for the park, and an overview on the need to re-locate the existing park.

The possible sites are:

• Broadway Park
• Williams Park on Newbury Street
• Behind the Parks and Rec building on Main Street

The public is welcome to share their thoughts at the meeting.
