Maine has one talented lady who just got her big break.

WMTW is reporting that songwriter, musician and singer Amy Allen of Windham just signed a record deal with Warner Brothers and we can't wait to see where she takes the music world.

She has written and co-written songs for a few Top 40 hotties including Halsey, Shawn Mendes and Selena Gomez and will now be venturing into her own career as a singer.

Allen is now based out of Los Angeles but started playing music with her sister's band in Maine in elementary school, continued later as a solo artist then attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.

What has she written that you'd be familiar with?  How about this tune that went #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, sung by and co-written by Halsey!

Or, "Back to You", sung by Selena Gomez, the lead single to last season's Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

She's also teamed up with Shawn Mendes for "When You're Ready" on his last album.

We can expect her album debut next year.

Check out an interview she did with Songwriter Universe dot com last fall to get more insight on this Maine native on the rise!
