A Maine Food Truck Cracks The Top 10 Of ‘Best In The U.S.’
Food truck season in Maine is finally here!
Food trucks have existed since as early as the 1930s, but they gained their true popularity in more recent decades, after the 2008 recession.
At any given time, there are a multitude of trucks out on the streets in the Bangor area, and beyond.
My dream is to host a reality show, where I travel the country, trying out the best food trucks in every state.
Unfortunately, Netflix won't return my calls.
Lovefood is a popular online food platform that provides recipes, cooking guides, food news, restaurant reviews, and meal planning.
They also make lists, which we love, so when it came down to choosing the most best food truck in each state, we just HAD to know what their choice for Maine was.
Nailing down the best food truck in every state is no easy task. Each state has a variety of dining options.
Lovefood based their choices on user reviews, awards and accolades, and their very lucky staff, who get to travel across the country to sample it first hand.
Their pick for Maine, was 'Bite into Maine", which features food truck locations in Portland and Cape Elizabeth, and traditional brick and mortar stores in Scarborough and Portland.
They ranked it 8th best in the country. Not too shabby!
Bite into Maine is onwed by husband and wife team, Karl and Sarah Sutton, and are well known for mouth watering menu items, such as lobster grilled cheese, a lobster BLT, and the classic Mainel lobster roll, served with house-made mayos, like zingy wasabi, yellow Indian curry, and smoky chipotle.
They are also affiliated with Goldbelly which means you can have their delicious dishes, shipped directly to your home.
