Kid & Sarah Taking Donations for Ton of Pasta Food Drive February 8th In Bangor

The Z will be taking part in the 18th Annual Ton of Pasta Food Drive through our radio group, Townsquare Media Brewer in February.

Also participating will be Townsquare Media Bangor stations Q106.5, I95 and WDEA.

All of the drives will be taking place on Saturday, February 8th from 9 AM - 1 PM at various Hannafords in the area.

Kid and Sarah of the Z Morning Show will be at the Hannaford at Union Street in Bangor.

Scott and Cindy of Q106.5 will be stationed at the Brewer Hannaford

And DJ Fred of I95 and Chris Popper of AM 1370 WDEA will be at the Ellsworth Hannaford.

Every location will be collecting pasta and other shelf stable items.

Helping out the radio stations will be PENQUIS CAP who will be distributing donations to food banks in the area.

According to the great Chris Popper, 17 years of this annual collecting event has led to some impressive amounts of donations from our community:

Throughout the 17 previous years, we have collected around 60 tons of pasta, and when you realize that a box of pasta can feed a family of 4, that means that through your contributions, we have potentially provided food for as many as 480.000 meals! That's a whole lot of pasta"
