Her incredible run on Idol may be over, but there is much more to come!

As many of us get over the shock from Sunday night, when Julia Gagnon's name was not called into the Top 5, we can all feel a little better knowing that she is thankful for her journey, and that it is just the beginning of a very promising career in music.

It has been so much fun rooting for someone who represented the State of Maine in such a meaningful and beautiful way.

Sunday, was "Adele Night" on American Idol, with a chance to make it to the Top 5. On paper, this would seem to be a no-brainer, since Julia Gagnon crushed an Adele song earlier in the competition, but when the votes were cast at the end of the show, her name was not called, after her impressive cover of "Set Fire To The Rain"

As soon as Monday morning rolled around in Southern California, Julia took to her social media plaforms, to thanks the thousands of fans that have shown her incredible support during the last several weeks on the American Idol stage.

Maybe what is most amazing about Julia's success, is that is all began right here in Maine, at Central Maine Idol, last summer.

From that stage, till now, she is living proof, that if you have a dream, a ton of talent, and a little bit of luck, anything is truly possible!

Since Julia finished in the Top 7, she will go out on tour with the rest of the finalists, once this season is over, so you certainly have not heard the last of her.

Be sure to follow her on Instagram to see what she will do next!
