Fans of the "High School Quiz Show: Maine" edition got a treat this week, as they tuned  in to see who cane out victorious, as the John Bapst Memorial High School Crusaders from Bangor battled the Marshwood High School Hawks from South Berwick for the top spot in the State. Marshwood, a Season One champ was looking to regain their title as Bapst looked to pick up their first title in the Season Four showdown.

Bangor's Bapst beat Brewer High, Greely High and Brunswick High for their spot.

According to the John Bapst Facebook page, the four person team was comprised of Juniors and Seniors, worked very hard this year to advance to the championship show. "Cheer on Devon Hunter '21, Maria Castellanos '20, Elias Doering '21, and Dom Needham '21."

Bapst's team emerged victorious in the end, winning the state title of Champion of the "High School Quiz Show: Maine". They took home a prize of $1,000  that will go towards Project Graduation. John Bapst  will also get to move on to compete for the title of Regional Champions at a competition to take place in Boston later this year.

The show was hosted by Shannon Moss, reporter and anchor for NewsCenter Maine, with the competition consisting of four rounds; a Toss-Up Round, a Head-to-Head Round, a Category Round and a Lightening Round.

The show,  was prerecorded this past January, before Covid-19 hit.
