Here’s Your Next Maine Adventure: The Maine State Parks GeoTour

Get ready for a great Maine challenge!

The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands has set up your next Maine adventure taking you to State Parks and Historic Sites all over the state.  Get ready for the Maine State Parks GeoTour!

It's all about geocaching, where coordinates are downloaded and you try to find hidden water-tight containers containing a log that you sign.  If you have a Maine State Park Passport, you can even keep track of your visited locations by stamping your passport at each geocache site.  You can get one for $1 from a park ranger.

Caches are located at the following Maine Parks:

• Allagash Wilderness Waterway
• Aroostook State Park
• Cobscook Bay State Park
• Colburn House State Historic Site
• Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site
• Mount Blue State Park
• Vaughan Woods Memorial State Park
• Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park
