Here’s Where Bangor & Brewer Children Can Get A Free Lunch
One again, kids in the Bangor and Brewer area can receive a free lunch this summer, if they need one.
The Good Shepard Food Bank has partnered with several non-profits in the Bangor and Brewer area to provide a free lunch to kids and teens. The nutritious meals will be provided to any hungry child under 18 without charge. The meals will be provided to take on the go.
“We are excited to once again sponsor the Summer Food Service Program in Bangor and Brewer,” says Kristen Miale, president of Good Shepherd Food Bank. “During the COVID-19 pandemic, child food insecurity rates could grow by nearly 50%, meaning the number of children struggling with hunger in Maine will increase to more than 70,000."
