Fire Marshal Investigating 3 Fires in Unity in a Week

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating three fires in Unity, including two that occurred at the same address.

Crews were called to the first fire at approximately 5:00 on the morning of December 22nd, located in a mobile home at 30 Turner Court. Four days later, on December 26th, firefighters were once again called to the same address, at approximately 6:30 p.m. for a second fire. The mobile home was destroyed and one person was displaced by the fire.

The third fire happened at about 6:00 on the evening of December 28th at the United Methodist Church in Unity, located at 29 Depot Street. The street was closed down for several hours while crews dealt with the fire in the nearly 180-year-old church.

All three fires are currently under investigation. There are no reports of any injuries.
