It won't be out in time to stick in an Easter Basket, but game maker USAOpoly revealed this past week that everyone's favorite Christmas/Non-Christmas movie, Die Hard, has been made into a board game which will be released some time this spring! Die Hard: The Nakatomi Heist Board Game will put the iconic Bruce Willis character John McClane back into the middle of the action, as he battles multiple bad guys to save the day.

I.Can't.Wait!

An article on movieweb.com quotes Pat Marino, Lead Game Designer at USAopoly, as saying, "Die Hard's influence over the action-thriller genre is staggering, so we were beyond excited for the opportunity to harness the movie's expert blend of action, intelligence and drama into a unique tabletop experience. We are developing a game that will deeply resonate with Die Hard enthusiasts, incorporating even the slightest details to create a rich and entertaining experience that properly pays tribute to arguably the greatest action movie of all time."

Details about the game are still pretty hush-hush, but USAOpoly did reveal the cover art for the box and it's pretty awesome. It features a silhouette of John McClane falling through shattered glass. And rough estimates of the average game play time have it at about 60-90 minutes, so it'll kill about an hour at least, so that's a plus!

If the powers-that-be were clever, they'd wait till Christmas and really cash in on the thematic tie-ins, but that's just me. It could come out on the 4th of July, and I'd still buy it. I've got dibs on Hans!
