Police have released the identity of an Ellsworth boy who's charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

According to the Ellsworth American, 14-year-old Koda Sinclair is also charged with terrorizing. Officials say his name has been made public because of the severity of the solicitation charge, which is a felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison and a $50,000 fine. A 16-year-old from Brewer has also been charged with terrorizing, in connection with the same case. His name has not been released. The boys were arrested earlier this month after Ellsworth School department officials learned that there had been 'threats of violence' made in a Facebook chat group. The alleged threats targeted another 16-year-old, according to police.

Sinclair has been placed on house arrest, with several restrictions, including that he have no access to social media and that all internet use be supervised. Sinclair is already on probation for an unrelated offense that occurred last year.
